Katie Scarlett

Bio

Katie Scarlett is a Cincinnati based actor, writer, and producer. Favorite local theatre credits include: Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park (A Christmas Carol), The Know Theatre (Camp Siegfried), Southbanks Shakespeare (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Falcon Theatre (Rabbit Hole), and InBocca Theatre (Rappings, The Last Witch in Ireland). You might have also seen her on your screen in the Bruce Willis movie Hard Kill or local commercials (Macy's, Gold Star Chili, Bob Evans, Cradle Cincinnati).

Her first full length play premiered at the Cincinnati Fringe Festival (Z is for Zebra) and was later remounted at The Know Theatre. The future goals for the show include touring fringe festivals and working towards the materials becoming CEUs in medical settings. She is also part of a producing team that creates films focusing on disability representation in the arts. Their most recent short film, Forced Perspective, was nominated for Best Ohio Short and Best Off-Kilter Short (Cindependant Film Festival) and is currently making the festival rounds both locally and internationally.  

She holds a B.A. in Theatre and English from Indiana University, an MSW from the University of Cincinnati, and loves working at the intersections of mental health, disability, and the arts.
