At InBocca Performance, we have specialized in education for students for 28 years. Our roots are in theatre for young audiences, and while we have grown to create theatre for all ages, every year we return to the thing that has always made us special: working with young people to shine light in dark places.
As of spring of 2025, we have begun partnering with the Know Theatre of Cincinnati to expand our education into classes offered per semester on Saturdays, as well as finding a new home for our summer theatre devised camp experience.

These theatre classes offer students in the Greater Cincinnati Area learning opportunities that are all unique to InBocca and the Know: specialty skills (puppetry, devised theatre creation, Viewpoints, music and composition, storytelling, circus, clown, etc.), acting, and directing.

For our summer camp, students grades 3-12 come together to create, over the course of 4 weeks, a fully devised theatre production that culminates in multiple performance opportunities.
At InBocca, we’ve been working with children to create quality devised programming since 2011. Through devising, students learn not only how to create their own theatrical performances, but to shine light in dark places by prioritizing their own voices, ideas, strengths, and abilities. They write their own scripts, choreograph their own dances, compose their own music, and so much more. Here we give kids the opportunity to write about and perform on topics that are important and relevant to them in the world today, through the lens of classic stories.
